Mercia Marina

( A new location for 2009 about 15mins from Barton turns the previous marina)

Home of the Shakespeare Classic Line Fleet of Narrowboats and Houseboats

The marina is situated on the Trent and Mersey Canal near the village of Willington,  close to picturesque village of Findern. It is within a short walking or cycling distance of this pretty village and minutes from the A38 and 50. Also close is Burton on Trent noted for it's brewery.

A new Pub is planned overlooking the marina for 2009, though the near by Green Dragon already serves the community, services including  Pub food during the day with lunch and supper offered at weekends

The location is well situated for exploring the Birmingham Canal Navigations to the south, the Trent Valley including the picturesque River Soar or the Stoke Potteries area.
