This is the latest venture for Shakespeare Classic Line ltd who are initiating a range of Houseboats based at Barton Turns as an alternative to the Narrowboats.

They provide more spacious accommodation, not being restricted to the width of a lock and offer a well equipped and well serviced floating base in the Staffordshire countryside. The 6ft veranda overlooking the water is also a nice feature

As timeshare owners tend to use their weeks themselves in the first year of purchase it may be a while before they are much in evidence on this site but when they are they should provide an attractive base for exploring the villages and many other local places of interest.

Artists or writers looking for a “retreat” might well  appreciate what they have to offer as will anyone wanting to step back from a hectic lifestyle for a while.

 Houseboat Features

Full Central Heating is installed on all Houseboats.

Bedrooms

A comfortable, 2 bedroom, sleep 4 luxury floating home,

Bedroom 1 has a double bed and Bedroom 2 has twin beds both have plenty of room to store personal items.

Kitchen

A full fitted kitchen with spacious worktops, large Fridge Freezer plus a gas cooker and Microwave.

This kitchen also has a fold down table so storage is easy when not in use.

Lounge

A cosy 3-piece suite, widescreen television with built in DVD player.

A door leading from the lounge takes you out on to a 6ft veranda.

Bathroom

A full bathroom including Bath/Shower.
